I had my first ultrasound this morning. I had calculated that I was at 6 weeks 4 days based on known ovulation date and measurements came back 6 weeks 2 days, which isn't far off. However, they were unable to see a heartbeat. The doctor told me that normally they see a heartbeat at 6 weeks and to go back in 10-14 days for a follow-up ...It's pretty common to have an early ultrasound where things don't measure quite right and there may or may not be a heartbeat.
